It is so important to think through the purpose of the shed and how it is to be constructed.
If you are unfamiliar with this process, try to answer these advice tips before you design your shed.
It is so important to think through the purpose of the shed and how it is to be constructed.
If you are unfamiliar with this process, try to answer these advice tips before you design your shed.
- What is the purpose of the shed? Eg; Storage? Workshop? Retreat?
- Where are the required services? Eg; sewerage, water drainage, electricity.
- Have you allowed enough space in your dimensions for the required needs? Eg; size of vehicle, boat etc
- Does the block need extra earth works to be a level working pad?
- How much access is there for machinery to work at the shed site?
- Approximately 3 meters clearance is required for the vehicles to deliver concrete and shed kit.
- Can you provide directions to the site if it is not gazetted as a street number in a referdex?
- Time frame limitations! Allow At least 4 - 8 weeks for council approval and kit manufacture. Installation follows and this will often depend on the weather.

1. SITE PLAN - Can be hand-drawn
2. SEWERAGE PLAN - Contact Council for a copy
3. RP/SP - Details are on rates notice
4. AREA - nominate size of land or block
5. POSTAL ADDRESS - if different to shed site
